Now in pilot

Procurement runs on email. Now you can see it.

Throughline reads your procurement inboxes, turns emails and attachments into structured data, tracks every procure-to-pay process, and gives your team one place to search it all.

Works with Gmail and Microsoft 365. No ERP integration required.

The problem

Your procurement data is stuck in inboxes

Your ERP records the transactions, but the conversations around them happen in email: quotes, confirmations, changed delivery dates, disputed invoices. That information goes untracked.

The real status lives in someone's inbox

The PO went out, the supplier confirmed a new delivery date, the invoice arrived with a different amount. All of it is in email threads, none of it is in your system yet.

Nobody can see what's stuck

Which orders are waiting on a quote, a signed PO, or a missing delivery note? Finding out means chasing buyers, who then dig through their mail.

Documents arrive incomplete

An invoice without a GRN, a PO without approval, a quote missing from the file. You find the gap at payment time or audit time, when it's most expensive.

Knowledge walks out with people

Supplier history, negotiated prices, past disputes. When a buyer leaves or goes on holiday, years of context are locked in a mailbox no one else reads.

From inbox to insight in four steps

01

Connect your mailboxes

Connect the procurement mailboxes you choose, in Gmail or Microsoft 365. Shared inboxes and individual buyer mailboxes both work.

02

Read emails and attachments

Throughline reads the message body and the attached quotes, POs, confirmations, delivery notes and invoices.

03

Turn them into structured data

It extracts PO numbers, suppliers, items, quantities, amounts and dates, and links every email to the process it belongs to.

04

Track, check and answer

Each process is mapped to its procure-to-pay stage, checked for missing documents and policy issues, and made searchable.

Every purchase, tracked from the first email

Procurement data, structured

Every email and attachment becomes clean fields: supplier, PO number, line items, amounts, dates, terms. Reference numbers carry over, so records line up with what's in your ERP.

End-to-end procure-to-pay tracking

See where every purchase stands, from requisition to payment, at any step where documents travel by email. Stalled processes surface automatically.

Document completeness

Throughline knows which documents each stage needs and flags what's missing, such as an invoice with no delivery note or a PO with no matching quote.

Policy compliance checks

Check processes against your procurement policy, such as the number of quotes required above a threshold or approval before a PO is issued, and flag exceptions for review.

Ask your inbox, and get an answer

Everything Throughline reads becomes searchable: suppliers, order history, ongoing processes and what's blocking them. New team members get the full history from day one, and none of it leaves when a buyer does.

  • Supplier history and contacts
  • Order history by supplier, item or project
  • Ongoing processes and their current stage
  • Blocked processes, and why they're blocked

Works with any ERP, with no integration project

Throughline doesn't plug into your ERP. It pulls out the same reference numbers your ERP already uses, including PO numbers, supplier codes and invoice numbers, so its records line up with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, Odoo or a spreadsheet. You can start without waiting on IT.

Read-only by design

Throughline reads and reports. It never sends emails, replies to suppliers, or changes data in your systems. You choose which mailboxes it connects to, run it as SaaS or in your own cloud, and your team makes every decision.

Who it's for

Built for procurement teams, run by procurement leaders

Procurement leaders and CFOs get visibility across every open purchase. Buyers get their history in one place, and spend less time answering “where is this order?”

Throughline is a fit if…

  • Procurement teams whose POs, quotes and invoices move through email
  • Companies of 50+ people, in any industry
  • Heads of Procurement, CPOs and CFOs who need visibility without chasing buyers
  • Teams preparing for audits, or tightening procurement policy compliance

Questions about Throughline

Do we need to integrate Throughline with our ERP?

No. Throughline doesn't connect to your ERP directly. It extracts structured data from your emails, including the reference numbers your ERP already uses (PO numbers, supplier codes, invoice numbers), so records can be matched to SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or a spreadsheet. That's why it works with any ERP.

Can Throughline send emails or change data in our systems?

No. Throughline is read-only by design. It reads email and reports what it finds. It never sends messages, replies to suppliers, or writes to your ERP. Your team stays in control of every action.

Which email platforms are supported?

Gmail (Google Workspace) and Microsoft 365 / Outlook. You choose which mailboxes are connected, whether shared procurement inboxes or individual buyer mailboxes.

Does it read attachments?

Yes. Quotes, purchase orders, order confirmations, delivery notes and invoices are often sent as attachments. Throughline reads them along with the email body.

Which parts of procure-to-pay does it cover?

Any step where the documents travel by email, typically from requisition and RFQ through PO, order confirmation, delivery, invoice and payment advice. Steps that happen only inside other systems are outside what Throughline can see.

Where does Throughline run?

Your choice: as a managed SaaS, or deployed in your own cloud environment so your email data stays inside your infrastructure. We'll go through the options and data handling with your IT and security team before any pilot.

Who is Throughline for?

Procurement teams at companies with roughly 50 or more employees, in any industry. It's typically sponsored by the Head of Procurement, CPO or CFO and used daily by buyers and procurement staff.
